We are your local team of pet care professionals, we are truly ‘passionate about pets’ and we love what we do!

Our practice opened in Gawler in 2003 and we are proud to say that we are one of South Australia's high standard veterinary practices.

Greencross Vets Gawler is a 100% small animal veterinary practice which brings together over 30 years of expertise from our Vets.

As well as local animal care services to Gawler and surrounds, the veterinary practice provides services for the wider communities of the Barossa, Riverland and Mid-north and accepts referrals from veterinary hospitals from all over South Australia.

Our team of experienced vets and nurses are all animal lovers and believe strongly in the human-animal bond. This professional and caring animal health care team remain active in veterinary education and development, offer a high standard of preventative medicine and quality services and care for injured and ill patients.

We offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet needs, ranging from preventative health care to weight loss programs through to surgery and diagnostic medicine.

Greencross Vets Gawler offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet care needs utilising the latest diagnostic equipment.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Puppy Pre-School

Brittany Lewis

Brittany Lewis

Veterinary Nurse

Brittany stared working with animals back in 2016 as a kennel hand, and has gone on to work in multiple clinic before joining the Greencross Gawler team in 2022. Brittany has completed her Certificate’s II and III in Animal Studies and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE, and has discovered a passion for patient diagnostics.
When Britt as she is affectionately nick named, isn’t at the clinic she enjoys tinkering with her cars which include a 1975 Holden Gemini and 2002 Subaru Impreza, which she calls her money pits!
Britt’s menagerie includes “Ani” the Maremma, “Maul” the Siamese, “Gazza” the Australian Water Dragon, “Malfoy” & “Lockheed” the Bearded Dragons.

Veterinary Nurse

Steven has enjoyed a veterinary nurse position with the Greencross Gawler team since 2016, she thrives on the surgical and hospital side of the job and takes the time to get to know and understand the needs for each patient that comes into the clinic.
Steven has always had a love for animals since a young age and always knew he wanted a job working with them.
During his time away from work Steven enjoys spending time with his family including his two dogs. “Bella” the Alaskan Malamute and “Banjo” the Border Collie.

Veterinary Nurse

Bec started working at Greencross Gawler Vets in August of 2014 as a nursing student when she decided it was time for a career change. In 2016 Bec completed her studies and obtained her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing and has been working at Greencross Gawler since.
In 2021 Bec also started doing Low Level Laser Therapy for animals that is available at the clinic. She find this very rewarding seeing patients heal, be more comfortable with a non-invasive treatment and she loves to develop great relationships with her patients.
In Bec’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and also enjoys hand raising kittens giving them a second chance at life and finding them new families.
At home Bec has a Havanese called “Holly” and two rescue cats “Pancake” and “Astro”, these guys like to keep her life interesting.

Dr Nora Henry

Veterinarian

Dr Nora graduated from the University Of Adelaide in 2018 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and started with us at Greencross Gawler in mid-2022.
Originally from country Victoria, Nora moved to Adelaide for University and decided to settle in the Adelaide Hills with her partner and their young son.
Since graduating Nora has worked in mixed practice, however her main interest lies in small animal medicine, Nora’s particular areas of interest in small animal’s dentistry, dermatology & also exotic animals.
In her spare time Nora enjoys riding her horse and long distance running. She has a very spoilt pet cow & pet sheep at home as well as guinea pigs and chickens.

Veterinary Director

Dr Kristy completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2013 at James Cook University in Queensland and joined the team at Greencross Gawler in 2017.
Before joining the team Kristy worked on the Yorke Peninsula in a busy multiple clinic practice which included after hours & on call work. Kristy enjoys all aspects of her career with a particular focus on surgery.
While living on Yorke’s Kristy enjoyed spending her spare time at the beach and whenever she gets an opportunity she go back as often as she can.
Kristy’s family share their home with “Ollie” the Groodle, “Sophie” the Golden Retriever, “Missy” the Ragdoll & “Narla”, “Pickles” & “Thor” her DSH cats.

Kelly Hill

Kelly Hill

Veterinary Nurse / Practice Manager

Kelly started Veterinary Nursing back in 1998, completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE in 2001, and in 2022 she completed her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing through AIRC.
Kelly has worked for multiple clinics across South Australia during her career before starting with Greencross Vets Gawler in 2014. She enjoys all areas of vet nursing especially surgery and reproduction, before becoming Practice Manger in 2017.
In her spare time Kelly enjoys hiking & camping with her family and their GAP Greyhound “Kiwi”. Her family also have 2 cats “Hamish” & “Rollo”.
